Dustin Dixon

PT, DPT, SCS, Cert. DN
Registered International Sports Physical Therapist

Dustin received a bachelor's degree in health sciences from Louisiana Tech University in 2004 and a Doctor of Physical Therapy degree from Louisiana State University Health Sciences Center-Shreveport in 2009. While in physical therapy school, he completed an internship at the prestigious Andrews Institute in Florida. After spending the first three years of his career in general orthopedics, he decided to narrow his focus and pursue additional sports medicine training at Ben Hogan Sports Medicine in Fort Worth. Spending two years in specialty practice there, Dustin became a Board Certified Sports Clinical Specialist before returning home to practice sports medicine in Louisiana.

In the clinic, Dustin has a passion for guiding patients through the rehabilitation process, from the table back to the field of competition—drawing from his own prior experiences in basketball and marathon training alongside more than 10 years of clinical practice. He has helped countless high school, collegiate and professional athletes from nearly all sports return to competition following injury. His dedication to lower quarter injury prevention and functional rehabilitation of the shoulder girdle in the overhead athlete has inspired him to deliver educational seminars to local coaches aimed at preventing injuries and enhancing performance. Dustin previously served as a chief mentor for a physical therapy sports residency program and continues to work alongside surgeons, athletic trainers, pitching coaches, researching clinicians, performance trainers and head coaches to carry out the mission of authentic sports medicine care.

While not at work, Dustin loves spending time with his wife and three sons, enjoying family and the great outdoors.
