They say it's the journey, not the destination. They preach it all the time. We think one of your best skill sets is adapting and learning to embrace the journey. The little things matter to you... maybe a joint loading strategy, a smile, a kind word. You know how to balance being fun and jovial, without neglecting the grind. Over the past two years, we have witnessed you grow as an athlete and a human being. You have always and continue to bring joy to the clinic and those around you. There is a healthy chip you carry that refuses to give up and refuses to let an injury or anything else define you. Because of this we think your best is yet to come. Soon there will be some college teammates that find themselves appreciative of a new brother, a grinder, a fun-loving good man. We are thankful to have been a part of your journey and will always think of you as a brother (including when we argue). Our team will always root for you Kody. We are all proud of you!

Well...I'm not going to miss watching my back and getting hit/tackled randomly 😅 What we will miss is you. I'm not so sure there's been an athlete that we have been able to witness transform his or her body so quickly. While our relationship was predicated on the injury prevention side, we want the community to know that you did train with Kenny Reeves and Limitless 3x's a day; you did diet; you changed habits; you focused on weaknesses and turned them into strengths. We not only saw but could feel you sacrificing. You have been an example to all of us these past few months. Transformation really does not occur without sacrifice and it takes a good, strong man to make those changes. We are hugely thankful to have gotten to know you. You bring the invisible intangibles that make not only yourself but others around you truly successful human beings. In a way Jacoby, I think you have transformed us and made us better. We have no doubt that the integrity of who you are will continue to shine and that your next community will be better because of you. Your dedication, heart, and work ethic will never be questioned. We know what you can do on the football field #7 but we believe you will be an even better husband, father, and inspiration to others. We are collectively wishing you all the best brother and thank you for the past few months. One of these days we will eat boudin in Tennessee and talk about the good old days. But for now... keep transforming... the world around you has been and will be better for it!

Olivia! We miss you my friend! Always joyful, always fun, and always dedicated. The spirit to which you approached your rehab was contagious. I imagine your collegiate teammates love you for that. While your recovery had a rocky start (through no fault of your own), your spirit and work ethic carried you to a level that I think others would have given up on. Thanks, Olivia. We look forward to hearing about your continued success on the collegiate soccer field. And we know you will continue to persevere with great joy and dedication.

Hey Dawg! You know how we feel about you. But you know how we are, we still have to say it. First off, congratulations on your season and your continued success in Pro-Ball. You don’t become a savvy, all-star vet by accident. I know people love seeing you play. We want you to know how grateful we are to have been able to spend time with you and help you keep that career going. As a pro athlete in your mid-30s, you adapted to that change better than most. We got to witness some of your game transition as well as how you approach taking care of your body (less crawfish, LOL). We know your heart, bro, and root for you to continue to evolve as a player. We always joke with you about what a great coach you would make, which has everything to do with how contagious your personality is and your ability to evolve. We will always root for you, my man. Keep hoopin’, brother!

My friend, it has been a ride over the course of your high school career. It has been an honor and a pleasure. You've managed to avoid surgery multiple times and, in our opinion, you have more than earned the opportunity to play college football. If you choose not to, we know you will be infectiously successful at whatever you do. Personally, we have seen you work your tail off training with Limitless Performance on a consistent basis over the years. It has been an honor to watch you work, grow, and become a good, solid young man over the years. We are proud of you George and can’t wait to see what the next chapter brings.

Hey Edge...I bet you aren’t drinking Fantas like you used to!!! I know everything is bigger in Texas but the Fanta tastes better here in Louisiana. Two way players don’t exist anymore in football? Well, whoever says that didn’t see you play. You most definitely earned your way to where you are. Very few people know the toll playing both offense and defense takes on a player. Thanks for letting us help you stay on the field that last year. Texas didn’t get a football player. They got a warrior. Stay at war, brother! We are all here watching you and supporting you (and occasionally drinking a pineapple Fanta).

Someone doesn’t amass nearly 200 tackles in a football season and become one of the state's best javelin throwers by accident. One of his secrets to success is that he does not actually like to be in physical therapy. My man does every little thing he can to be in the best possible game form on his own. When we are fortunate enough to treat him, we know that he needs a little help and that we most likely won’t be treating him for long. Hey John: thank you for always, and I mean always, working hard while being a consistent athlete and human being. Without question, we are a fan of yours.

How many kickers can play tight end and still make all A's in school. Not many! Unless of course your name is Caden. It has been such a good, unique experience to watch you play multiple positions over the years. We are going to miss seeing you on the field and in the clinic. Thankfully, we get to still root for you on TV and I know no one will have to chase you down about your grades. Caden, thanks for always being such a good hearted young man. Every time we part from our conversation, I walk away feeling like I just had a conversation with a really good human being. Your college coaches are getting a treat. We wish you the best of success and want your parents to know that they have a lot to be proud of (perhaps more so off the field). Keep in touch with us, bro!

To recover from such a rare injury after moving to a new community takes a rare person. We remain at awe at how someone so young can be so detail oriented and dedicated. I want others to know that my phone buzzes monthly and it is a question from you about how you can get better and stay healthy. I want you to know that every time that phone buzzes we smile and think about how you willed yourself to continually get better and earned your way back to sport. That relentless dedication to get better has a fire burning at its core. As impressive as that fire is, perhaps more impressive is the young man behind it. Whatever you choose to do with your life...it will be good and you will be successful. You inspire us. That burning you have is contagious and we hope to see you continually impact others with it.

It has been a long, crazy road hasn’t it? It has also been a good one. When we look at your pic words like “heart” and “resilience” come to mind. Every year life has given you a chance to hang it up; to stay down on the mat. Whether it has been an injury or injustice or some other punch…you won’t let it hold you down. Ironically, you play left tackle – The position of heart and resilience. Where you stand in the trenches and protect your brother. We see you Willie A. We see the adversity you had to weather long before football. We see the adversity you’ve had to weather with football. The business of it all, the good, the bad, and the ugly...... We've seen it with you. We don’t see that when we see you, though. We see a brother, a friend, a young man who has physically grown into a big man with a massive heart. We see family when we see you. Thank you for always rehabbing with your heart, for always reaching out, always caring, always asking about the family...... And for allowing us to be a part of your life. Thank you for inspiring all of us to live out of our hearts and get up off that mat. We see a man with loads of potential (outside of football). We see a good man that has made and continues to make the choice to be a good man regardless of circumstance. You epitomize heart and the integrity it takes to play your football position. We love you, brother, and you always have a place in our house and our hearts. You and the 10 kids you will have one day.

Mike T.

Champions are built on little things. You continue to impress us with your transition from high school to college. While winning a high school championship is impressive to say the least...the continual pursuit of excellence through the little things will keep you a champion. Win, lose, or draw there is no doubt that you will do the things you need to excel as a person, in the classroom, and on the field. We no doubt expect you to continually impact your college program and the profession of choice after soccer is done. The little things add up, and we continually believe in you, Champ.

Jeremy A.

Warring through injury in your junior/senior years without missing much time is a testament to your drive. There has always been an awareness or directionality of where you wanted to go. While life presented you plenty of ups and downs, you never took your eye off of the goal. While officially playing college basketball is worthy of a heart "Congrats!", we definitely feel that your dedication to get healthy is equally commendable. Once again, the little things count, and you achieving this goal is only a reflection of the internal fortitude you possess. Your college team will get a high character young man whom we feel has his best yet to come.

Emily B.

Coping with injury is almost a learned skill. You got a head start at developing this skill and have applied that skill into the bigger picture. Whether you were working on throwing mechanics or rehabbing after a major hip surgery, we have witnessed you outgrow your injuries time and time again. Being able to overcome injury without losing focus or drive at a young age will always be impressive. There remains a quiet fire inside of you that refuses to settle. You have and will continue to have success in life because that fire continues to burn. It is not a surprise that you have become captain of your team, as you always have lead by example. Work ethic, drive, character, and an unquenchable fire fuel that dedication in you that refuses to give in. We are always behind you and your family. The spirit with which you approach life is exemplified in how you carry yourself. And if you chose to play college sports your team will be better for it. We consider you family and will always be in loving support of you and your family.

Elijah W.

The days of two sport athletes are done! Insert defiance: Elijah, how you excelled so well at both baseball and football while maintaining such academic standards is mind blowing. Add a surgery in the mix and its hard to convince anyone that you can finish strong. So many times you battled through injury and adversity to just keep playing. Never settling or allowing yourself to slow down - the hardest part of your rehab was recovery (being still). The quiet, old school approach where humility and hard work intersect is where you live. There is no secret to why you have and will have continue to have success. You simply know how to finish! We are behind you and can't wait to see where life takes you!

Megan since knowing you we have not found a box that you don’t check off. Your fierce, devoted approach to everything you do has and will continue to check those boxes for you. When we look at our clinic over the past year, you certainly stand out as one of the most mentally and physically tough athletes we have had the pleasure of working with. We know that these intangibles will carry you far through your high school and college careers. Our clinic wants any potential college coach to know what a gem they could have in you. The fact that your athletic trainer took a new position to come back to work with you and ensure your success says it all. Your devotion and dedication inspire others to match it. A true lead by example athlete... we cannot wait to see what the future holds for you!

Our journey has taken us from the clinic to the court and back again. And I would not trade one step of that journey. For a two guard, your ability to rebound in life is phenomenal. You and your team weren’t dealt a fair hand your senior year. The season in Atlanta proved that an ACL can’t hold you down. College coaches took note of what we have known all along – you, my friend, are a good ball player. More so than that, we want anyone that reads this to know that your story is just getting started. Wherever basketball and life lead, we don’t worry about you. The same reason you’ve coached our kids is the same reason we do not and will not worry about you: you, my brother, are a good man. Wherever life takes you, we are thankful for the love, time, and friendship that you’ve shared with us. (And that’s Big Facts!)

I wish we had met sooner, my brother. We got you late in your senior season, but you know what? We still got you. For someone with such a kind spirit we will never forget how strong you are. (LOL, I still have a broken cord to remind me). While your physical strength is impressive, we know it roots within the good young man you are. We know that your training in the weight room is synonymous with the strength you have. Koby, as impressive as your strength and your approach to rehab were, we were always more impressed with who you are. Don’t forget about us, my man. Come by and visit…we would love to see you!

G! You know what? You might be alright! If there is such a thing as a total package: mind, body, and spirit to being an athlete….you have all of it. We have seen you spend countless hours training in Limitless. You are an athlete that wants as little time in the “training room” as possible, we sure did see a lot of you. You brought your spirit in to work with us. Always jovial, uplifting, and witty, you epitomize the spirit of an approachable leader. As gifted as you are on the football field (and we mean gifted), your strongest gift might be your ability to engage others. We expect great things from you no matter where you are, and that’s because greatness lives in you. Thanks for always engaging us and others. G, you are more than alright!!! We miss ya, big fella!

Watching you literally grow up in the past few years has been amazing. Always polite, approachable, and authentic. We were not surprised that you did not have to rehab for long. There is also no surprise that you are having similar success on the field. We can’t think of a single week we have not seen you training over the last 2+ years. It is always good to chat with you in your training since you have clearly outgrown any rehab needs (keep it that way). We look forward to what the next few years have in store. It is a continued honor to watch you grind!

Mike S.

The two sport athlete does still exist. Its rarity is synonymous with your injury – elbow dislocation without needing surgery. There is only one recipe for getting out of that injury and that’s a lot of work with a little bit of luck. You outworked the need for luck and look at you. Whether it's football, baseball, or interning, there is always a servant's heart with you. You carry so much honor with the way you approach rehab and interpersonal dynamics. Are you sure you don’t want to become a PT? There is a pure goodness you possess and we will never forget it or lack appreciation of it (or you). We can’t wait to see what the next chapter holds for you.

Old School! That’s not just a joke, but a mentality. Whether it has been working on throwing mechanics, arm care, or landing mechanics from a jump, the mentality was always consistent. The mentality of that old school grit – you only have to show me once and I’ll go chew on it and you will be better. That mentality in you has been rooted in the integrity of excellence and you’ve had that long before we knew you. The pursuit of excellence (not perfection) has taken you to a place and school that we are all very proud to see you at. The heart and dedication that it has taken to get there is unquestioned. While I miss being able to talk to an old friend eye to eye, it brings our family great joy to see you doing so well. We look forward to rooting for you, old friend, for years to come. And yes, of course, I’ll help manage your Dad as best I can while you are up there. We miss you, brother, and can’t wait to see you back in the south for a crawfish visit.

World Champion is a rarity in anything. We see behind the scenes of what it takes to achieve that status with your performance training with Limitless. More impressive is to maintain that status year after year after year as your body ages and changes. For the people that wonder how one has continued to have elite success, here is your secret: consistency with all the little things. The way you train, rehab, and carry yourself is all with purpose. The little things you perfect are invisible to most, but when the spotlight is off, we know you will be doing band work, recovery, and training to keep that “edge." Doing all of the little things with love and purpose summarizes your humility and ability to be who you are. For in our minds, you, my friend, are a World Champion in life. We all have and continue to learn from your spirit and approach to training for life. We thank you for inspiring us and will always root for you!

While you do have one of the best smiles on the Northshore (nobody will debate that), we know there is a competitive fire behind that smile. Whether it is in performance training with Limitless or rehabbing from a complex hip injury, the fire and dedication come out. We are fortunate to visit with you weekly and are constantly impressed by your approachability while having a killer, competitive instinct underneath. A hip injury couldn’t hold you down and keep you from ballin’ and smiling. We don’t think much can hold you down. Keep grinding, Tony. Can’t wait to see more of what you got!

Grant K.

Too small, not fast enough, can’t this, can’t that. If you don’t personify what it means for hard work to defy the odds, then no one does. All of the negatives you were told, you flipped. Those of us who know you will say that you would prefer this route. You’ve allowed the chip others put on your shoulder to fuel you rather than define you. The lies, the doubt, and underestimations thrown in your direction were repurposed into dedication, heart, authenticity, determination, and a champion spirit. None of us were surprised that you were the captain on a state championship team. The hardships endured created heart, which created a champion, both on and off the court. A TOUGH, true student athlete with heart and a champion spirit that will last far beyond a sport. We can’t wait to see where both carry you into the future.

Torin B.

Watching you grow has been a gift. And yes, that means maturing physically and as a basketball player. Always professional and always polite. You constantly seek out the right things. Whether it's saying hi when you enter the building, working your craft, getting stronger with your training... there always exists a consistency that is reminiscent of your upbringing. (Getting to know you and your family has also been a gift.) Your growth as a good man has been just as impressive as your physical height. We know that your gifts and consistency will continue to be displayed on the next level. We also know that your family life has a direct correlation as to who you are and where you will be going. Thank you, brother, for sharing your gifts and family with us.

Tyson C.

If I ever had to work in a mine, you might be the first person I'd call to work along side. There is the mantra of whatever it takes in that profession and that mantra certainly seems to be yours. Except you really don't say it, you just prove it. Talk is cheap. All these old school principles show up in the way you rehab, train, play football and approach life. There is an unmatched dedication that just wins in the trenches. We watched you dominate the trenches in high school football and certainly believe that you will do so again on the next level. Simply because you live for the trenches and the grind. The friendship gained through the grind is one we are very thankful for. The old soul approach is not just a reflection of you but your whole family. In rooting for you, we root for your family. We can't wait to see you in thrive in the trenches again brother!

You had every excuse to hang up your athletic career: Patellar dislocation - but that could not stop you. Advanced cartilage restoration to your patella with ligament reconstruction - you returned to football and track without a hiccup. What is a pectoralis tendon repair to you? Not much - especially since you became the state's top shot put athlete afterward. You could easily change your name to Persistence or Resilience and no one would argue the change. I know you and there never was an ounce of quit behind those eyes of yours. You have one of those hearts that refuses to stay down. It is as if giving up is never an option for you. The most impressive feat behind you is that there never was a missed visit or even a wiff of dissapointment. You carried yourself like a champion straight into the OR, the clinic and back onto the field. Seth we are so proud of your champion's heart and are very grateful to have had the pleasure to walk alongside your high school athletic career. Personally, I am so proud of how you handled your senior year - Covid, rebounding from injury. You seem to attack setbacks like you attack your steaks. You were and are a gift to our practice. You will be a gift to Southeastern track and field. I just hope the Lions have an all you can eat steak buffet. Lion up my brother!

Resized_IMG_2190.jpg

Kristen B.

It is always a joy to hang with you my friend. We are thankful to be able to continue to treat you on your college breaks. You are another shining example of doing whatever it takes to get back regardless of the cards stack against you. You weren’t “supposed to” have a surgical knee injury, you weren’t “supposed to” rehab so well, and you weren’t “supposed to” play college ball. But look at you! You continue to achieve despite the odds and we know you will continue to do just that. We believe in you and your ability to rebound. We know that this will carry you far on the court of life. Anyone that has ever coached or worked with you has enjoyed your presence and feels the same way. Your goodness is contagious. Don’t ever neglect it! See you soon; I promise there will be plenty of bad jokes and babysitting opportunities…..

There is a guy I know that trained so hard that he put himself in the hospital. Now, I do not think anyone will ever out work you. You are an example of how a community can be built around hard work. An institution has essentially become better because of you. Limitless Performance and Flex PT exist to take care of athletes like you, so our honoring of you should be no surprise. We do not want people to know about how hard you dedicated yourself to recover from each injury. We want people to look at you and know that you are a warrior and overcoming is just a part of who you are. Each part of the respective brands love you and are always behind you. We hope to work alongside you one day as a peer. We know you are bringing that inspiration to Virginia and they are fortunate to have you. Here’s to summer, brother!

image1.jpg

Maximus L.

A position change in your senior year. Oh wait, you have to play RB and safety and start at both. No way? There is no way unless you have you. Max, you are a prime example of an athlete who can use physical therapy as injury prevention and recovery throughout the meat of a grueling season. While we are thankful for your success….we know there is plenty of gas left in that tank and hope that a college coach reads this. There is a determination in the way you run, rehab, and refuse to give in. While warrior is not listed in a stat sheet or on a program, we know who and what you are. We miss our talks in rehab and I’m sure you don’t miss our jokes. Keep going to war… and know that we still think of you and believe in who you are. Hope to see you soon, Max!

Khalil%27s+Great+Catch.jpg

Life just isn’t fair. You play college sports and then randomly you jump over a mud puddle on campus and that gets you? Well….we hate it happened but are thankful for that mud puddle. While the college gig and your rehab are complete…we feel like you are just taking off. We still think of you often and hope that your music takes off. You have something to say and we are excited about the avenue you are using to say it. While sometimes big surgeries are endings, you have used it as a beginning and there is a lesson in that for all of us. We miss you, Khalil, and are thankful for that McNeese mud puddle.

We tell people all the time that if you want to see a real athlete become friends with a gymnast. It takes a special dedication to put your body through the training and advanced skillsets required to have the title gymnast. While you probably had to be in clinic more than you would have liked, we want you to know how impressive your skillset is and how rare of a young lady you are. You heal fast and train hard. There’s a lot of heart hidden behind the subtle smile and those eye rolls….LOL. As impressive as your athleticism is…I think in a lot of ways who you are is just as impressive. We continue to root for both you and the gymnast.

Resized_IMG_7099.jpg

There is a stubborn relentless that sometimes is what it takes to just keep going. It is an unapologetic, immovable will that says I am moving forward and will continue. From having a devastating injury to preventing another, you, my friend, continue to create momentum. We always appreciate that unwillingness to fold or give in and this picture perfectly sums that up. You are why you continue to compete. From chasing down injury prevention techniques and gaining the therapeutic “edge”, the machine that you are just keeps digesting more and training harder, even as your body ages. A toast to my friend, Hank! May the warrior always live within you. We are behind you, brother! See you soon!

Amorion W.

Long, athletic, quick, and without much verbiage. The quiet storm is still a storm. Your ability to let your work and your intangibles speak for you is unique in a position that usually is more "talk". Walking the walk without the chatter makes you hard to guard or defeat mentally. We fully recognize that you walked the walk in the classroom just as impressively as on the field. Continuing to pursue excellence both with football and in the classroom will be an exemplarly gift to your teammates. Continuing to lead and have success through action reminds us all that talk is cheap. We are always behind your rooting for the old school principles that go along with the quiet storm. Wishing you nothing but the best bro!

imagejpeg_0003.jpg

Ishmael B.

Some people just don’t need words. As a cornerback, you challenge the mold. There’s no chatter and excessive talk. You say what is needed and get the job done. We like originals and you, my friend, are an original. It has been nothing but an honor to work with you before college and on your occasional breaks. Another example of little things adding up and injury prevention being worthy of investment – you and your family just get it. We thank you and them for that buy in and all the love and support over the years. It has and continues to be mutual even if left unspoken. Thank you, bro, and know that we continue to think of and root for you.

Whitagram001.jpg

Justin S.

When we do get to see you…it seems like it is never for long enough. You know what? That’s ok. You prove that buy in is everything and sometimes you just need the right direction. Where you’ve come from in terms of your college and your health is nothing short of impressive. From knowing you when you probably had more questions than answers to now hearing of you doing so well...I am the least surprised. If there is a Justin secret, it’s that you take complete ownership of something. If it is an issue with your health, you attack it, get answers, and get resolve. I think in a lot of ways you did not need to see us much because you owned everything. Your work, your drive, and your will have created opportunity and we are excited for you. While I’m sure I’ll see you on break and that it won’t be for long… it will be good. Thanks for always trusting us and owning the little things. For you, the little things turned into bigger things and we are proud to see it!

Going to battle without being 100% has many lessons. Dedication, perseverance, and relentlessness make up the hallmark of good leadership. It also sums up your basketball career. The dedication to taking care of your body and loyalty to your team in spite of circumstance over the couse of several years, is nothing short of admirable. It takes strong character with a stronger heart to persevere. We are thankful to have been a part of your life as you exemplified goodness and leadership. We know that college and your next career will be better because of who you are and how your apply life lessons. Thank you fo being an example for all of us. We truly hope that you continually keep in touch and visit regularly.

Jacoby M.

Being a really strong and good athlete does carry a certain responsibility or burden. While the on field skills seem to come so naturally for you, those skills aren't the only part of being an athlete. We want others to know that you carry the burden of the other side of athletes so effortlessly. We have yet to see you let the "lights" distract you from the mission of the work. Whether its simply showing up on time or working on injury prevention or being respectful... you seem to do these things effortlessly. Perhaps the on field skills are a reflection of what is buried deep inside of you. There's a good soul that radiates gentleness and humbleness. Beyond the yes sirs and the mutual respect, there is a young man that has learned the humility of life. While we don't know the adversity you've had to overcome, we do know it has taught you how to carry the hidden responsibilities: effortlessly. Wherever you go we are behind you and will always root for who you are and are becoming both on and off the field.

Speed! Watch my man play and that word comes to mind quickly. Chan has an extra gear that most don’t have on the column. While the speed you possess is certainly unique, we think that it fits you. From rehabbing to performing on the field there has always been a special quality you have. I’m not sure there is a word for it. The way you take off with the ball and interact with others has an effortlessness to it. There is a natural goodness to you that of course makes you fast but has always helped you grow into a good young man. It has been a pleasure to rehab with you and watch you grow both on the field and off. You are a natural, my friend. We hope that you are continuing to grow and burn it in the way only you can do. Come see us Chan!

There is therapy after a big knee surgery that goes well. It usually involves hard work by the patient, surgeon, therapist, and, often times, the athletic trainer when done right. Your rehab happened to involve all. The unique thing about your rehab that I remember is your surgeon and people in the community telling me that you were special before you even had the surgery. Next, I remember you blazing through your rehab in what seemed to be an effortless manner. You worked extremely hard but it seemed so effortless. You never complained or grumbled or acted tired…you just came to work. And then I saw you play and saw that same exact thing happen on the court: hard work that just seemed natural. Your doc and the community were right: you are special and so is Ms. Keesha. We know that the effortlessness was actually the intersection of hard work and God given ability. And fortunately for all of us, we still get to see it. We are beyond grateful to have gotten to know you, the family, and to see your gifts continually on display. Kort and Keesha, we miss you guys and wish you both nothing but the best!!

When we met you, you were still growing and learning the pitching game. You were hungry and relentless with questions. And while you have grown into a good, solid young man, that hunger and those questions have not disappeared. We think that hunger was formed through all of the adversity you have had to overcome. You are the epitome of a hungry dreamer who never, ever gave up despite the obstacles and naysayers. We have seen you train at Limitless and witnessed how you approached your rehab. Adversity meets hunger meets dreams meets hard work = D1 baseball pitcher. I’m not in the least surprised but am certainly proud. Congratulations and stay hungry….you have the ability to make others hunger.

We can never get enough of T. Whether in high school or college football breaks… it’s never enough. There is a humble, goodness to you that fuels your grind. I don’t think we have ever heard you complain or ever witnessed you not working. There is no secret to your strength. The gentleness of spirit you possess is perhaps equally impressive. The approachability and authenticity you exude will serve you well in football and in life. Keep grinding and stay warm up there in Illinois. I’m sure we will see you on break and I’m sure it won’t be long enough. Thank you, Tylan!

How do I get back? When will I get back? I remember the first time we met and the questions you posed. The answers were that it's really up to you. And boy, did you deliver. You were borderline operative in regard to your knee, but you answered all of your questions with a confident, strategic approach rooted in hard work. Another example of hard work being a bail out…you earned every bit of it because we all know it was not given. If I’ve never said it…it needs to be said: I’m proud of you for the decision to attack this injury instead of sitting back and letting the injury dictate its terms to you. Your mental approach made the physical come alive and you being back on the soccer field is a reflection of the decision you made. Aidan, I didn’t answer the questions, you did! And I am glad we got to know one another. See you soon, my friend.

If there is such a thing as the perfect teammate, then we can’t imagine it not being you. This picture illustrates this: whether on the field or the clinic you are always energetic, coachable, and light hearted: the perfect example of a teammate who plays her role in a selfless manner! Your approach to your rehab always seemed the same way – selfless. It is as if you learned and dedicated yourself to get better in an effort to better support your team and coach. Please never change your selfless approach to life or lose the joy you carry because it is inspiring. It is no secret why you excelled at PT, and I personally think we could all learn something from your example. Please call us if you ever want a job!!!!!!

Canada!!!!! One of the good things about being in a pandemic was extending the time with you, my man! For that we are very thankful. Being able to talk a little smack while you were training and taking care of the calf tension was always entertaining. The ability to rehab, grind, train and, grind again, then go to work has been impressive. Even when you are tired, you manage to push through. Whether tolerating my jokes or the position of being away from home longer than you anticipate, you have the unique ability to endure. Seeing you train and walk through the clinic has been osmotic. We feel your energy and strength even on our tired days. You know how we feel about you, bro, and will always cherish the time Canada came to the South!!!

Playing multiple positions on the football field exemplifies the definition of a versatile athlete. Anyone that has ever watched you play knows you are that definition. Hidden behind the helmet though, is a different kind of versatility. We have and have always seen a good young man exhibiting the versatility of character. Always polite, kind, and approachable. We see you. Other people see it too. While rehabbing through a complex shoulder injury, your character was on full display for the whole clinic. Always communicating, always kind, always polite, always good. We know your college team is getting the gift of a versatile athlete with the off field character to match. You always have a home with us bro!

"She always adds to the room. No matter what...she always adds." A perfectly descriptive quote by one of your coaches. No matter what seems to be going on in the world or your world, he is right: you always add to the room. There exists a consistent spirit of joy that permeates from you, regardless of circumstance. The gift of presence certainly applies to you. There is no doubt that your college team will be better for your presence. They are very lucky to have you not just for your all around softball skills but for your uncanny ability to always make the room better. Keep in touch and keep visiting. Thank you for always adding to our room.

Polite, professional, kind, dedicated, and steady. All words used to describe you and your approach to football. These are also words to describe someone who can handle pain and adversity while working through limitations. The ability to work through limitations provoked by injury have given us more insight into who you are and what has made you successful. There is a quiet fury inside of you that is competitive and refuses to surrender. We know this will take you to success on the next level and we expect it because we have come to expect that level of stability from you. Always grinding and consistent, we appeciate you and have always respected the quiet, subtle fury that reflects its own level of the humble grind. We wish you all the best ole friend. And by ole we are completely stating the old school intangibles that will continue to carry you into college athletics.

The L Family.

Whether is was hanging with Pops on the sidelines or working with the kids in the clinic… one thing always comes to mind with the Latiolais family: wholesome goodness. Even in difficult times, there always was a level of peace and security around this family. Regardless of which family member was in the clinic, the goodness was always there and visible for all to experience. We miss seeing you guys now that the athletes have grown up and moved on. We have no doubt that Ben, Ellie, and Jacob will have impacts in whatever careers they choose. We all joked about who is the best Latiolais? No one can answer that jokingly or seriously because the whole family is rooted in authenticity. We think fondly of you all and wish the family and each of you individually the peace and goodness that you all exude.
